Iron Maiden have announced their new UK tour will be their first in the country to use paperless tickets. Priority Tickets are available now.
Bruce Dickinson’s band are aiming to cut down the amount of tickets listed for “ludicrously inflated” prices on resale websites. Fans will not receive printed tickets for the group’s May arena tour, but will have to present photo ID and a credit card when they arrive at the show.
“We do not want our fans being ripped off either by counterfeit tickets or through costly mark-ups on so-called secondary ticketing websites,” manager Rod Smallwood said in a statement.
The band have previously used paperless ticketing in America and at their London shows in 2013.
In May 2017, they will embark on a 11 date tour, beginning in Nottingham and concluding with a date at London’s The O2. They will be supported by Floridian hard rock band Shinedown at the shows.

The STAR WARS Identities: The Exhibition has been announced for a residency in London, starting later this year.
The interactive experience has already invited fans of the sci-fi film franchise to join the force in eight cities across the world, including Montreal, Paris and Munich.
The exhibit allows fans to create their own unique character inspired by the Star Wars experience, by answering questions at various interactive stations. There are 50 million different possibilities of how the character will turn out.
STAR WARS Identities: The Exhibition will be held at The O2 in London from November 18, 2016 to September 3, 2017. It will include original props used in the movies including costumes, models and drawings, as well as some items that have never been seen before.
O2 customers will be able to gain access to two preview days the weekend before the exhibition opens to the general public, offering super fans the opportunity to explore before anyone else.

The Bangor three piece, who are set to release their new album ‘Gameshow’ on October 7, will visit six cities on the new run of dates, beginning in Newcastle.
The band recently headlined the NME/Radio 1 stage at Reading & Leeds festivals before performing at an intimate gig at London’s Tufnell Park Dome.
The trio were set to headline Latitude Festival in 2013, but were forced to pull out at the last minute after frontman Alex Trimble fell ill.
