An immersive celebration of David Lynch and his seminal TV series Twin Peaks will be returning to London’s Genesis Cinema, with special guests and interactive events.
The celebrated filmmaker, who also made iconic films such as Lost Highway and Eraserhead, passed away last January at the age of 78. His death prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans and collaborators, including the Genesis Cinema, which held the first A Gathering of the Angels event last September. Now, the venue is bringing it back for a second year.
Held from September 26-27, the weekend offers a variety of experiences, including screenings of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and Blue Velvet. The latter movie will be the subject of an immersive experience. There will also be a live owl demonstration with a falconer, celebrating the importance of the animals as symbolism in the TV show. Fans will be served coffee and doughnuts, which are strongly associated with the filmmaker.
Several Twin Peaks cast members will be attending, including actor Harry Goaz who played Deputy Andy in the show, as well as Ian Buchanan (who played Dick Tremayne), and Twin Peaks: The Return villain George Griffith (Ray Monroe). Sabrina Sutherland, who executive produced the show as well as the film Inland Empire and Lynch’s unfinished Netflix project, will also be in attendance.
Regular collaborators of the director, including editor Duwayne Dunham and special effects artist Gary D’Amico, will be part of an online panel, while there will also be live cabaret performances and a set from DJ Yoda.

Recently, Christopher Nolan revealed how David Lynch’s Lost Highway influenced his own breakout film Memento, though admitted he found it “laborious” on a first watch.
