It’s been a big 12 months for Wolf Alice. This time last year they were preparing to headline Shepherds Bush Empire. Now, they’ve just completed a four-night run of completely sold out shows at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town. In between, they’ve narrowly missed out on their debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’ going to Number One, conquered Brixton Academy, the rest of the UK and made their mark on the US, too. NME found them on top form on the first night of the residency, and that spirit was still evident when we went back for more on night four, as you’ll see in these glorious photos.

Last night (March 29) was the last of four sold out nights Wolf Alice had played at London’s O2 Forum, capping off the 12 months around debut album ‘My Love Is Cool’ in celebratory style.
Bassist Theo Ellis missed all four after he was admitted to hospital for treatment on an infected elbow, replaced admirably by Gengahr’s John Victor (right), who learnt how to play the set in just one day.
The band’s set featured songs from ‘My Love Is Cool’, plus older tracks from the ‘Blush’ and ‘Creature Songs’ EPs, like ’90 Mile Beach’ and ‘Storms’.

After a dip into some of Wolf Alice’s softer material like ‘Silk’ and ‘The Wonderwhy’, the group brought the main part of their set to a close with storming versions of ‘She’ and ‘Moaning Lisa Smile’.
