To celebrate the release of comic-book film Suicide Squad, stars including Jared Leto (The Joker), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and Will Smith (Deadshot) convened on New York for the premiere. Here are the pics.
The entire ‘Squad’ showed up to the flick’s global premiere in New York on Monday. Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn) and model-turned-actor Cara Delevingne (Enchantress) partake in Will Smith’s group selfie. Smith plays assassin Deadshot.

Will’s youngest son Jaden was also on hand to celebrate the blockbuster’s release. Jaden and Will had previously appeared together in 2013 sci-fi flick After Earth but Jaden is not set to star in the new film, instead focusing on his role in Baz Luhrmann’s music television show, The Get Down.

Jared Leto, who plays The Joker, was on fine form during the red carpet procession, posing for photographers and mucking around with co-stars. In a recent interview, Margot Robbie claimed that constant pranks by the actor left her in a paranoid, yet excited state. “I didn’t know what was going to happen when we got on set.” she said, “it’s exciting to act opposite that.”

Comic book and graphic novel writer Frank Miller also appeared on the carpet for the film. Several pieces of his work have been turned into films in recent years, including Sin City and 300, and his Batman graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns also features The Joker.

David Harbour, who plays comic book character Dexter Tolliver in the film, arrived to the ceremony on crutches after tearing his achilles on stage – but that didn’t dampen his spirit as he waved to the cameras. The Stranger Things star was performing in a production of Shakespeare play Troilus and Cressida as the character Achilles when the injury occurred.
