Last week, Kent punk duo Slaves played a special show at the Hairy Dog in Derby. The Dr Martens gig was teeny, tiny compared to their usual ones and, unsurprisingly, things went from 0 to 100 in record time. Here are the best shots from the show.
At the start of the sweaty set frontman Isaac Holman said: “It’s so nice to be back. We’re going to play some new songs and some really old ones.”

The Hairy Dog have supported the band since their inception – they put them on during their first and second tours, until they got way too big for the tiny room. In fact, there’s an image of the band with their sleeping bags on the floor of the venue in one of their record sleeves.

The band were on typically rowdy form at the small venue with both Isaac and Laurie Vincent of the band ending up topless as the steamy venue turned into a sweat pit. Hot stuff.

At the start of ‘Hey’ a technical issue halted the show briefly, but rather than an awkward silence the band started a joke swapping session with the audience.

Until next time, Slaves!
