MORRISSEY
FIAT 500
As a one-time resident of Rome, Moz has become known for his admiration of all things Italian (except, perhaps, the meat feast pizza), so it’s no wonder he owns a vintage Fiat. His is the ‘estate’ model known as the ‘Giardiniera’, produced between 1960 and 1975.

FREDDIE MERCURY
STUDEBAKER CHAMPION
Di-da-Mondeee-o? No, Freddie went for that other Queen-song-related automobile, the Studebaker ‘We Are The’ Champion. Here he appears to be pleasuring himself over the fact that he’s got it in a headlock.

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN
CHEVROLET CORVETTE
When you’re always buzzing down open highways on a runaway trip to the American dream, you’re gonna need some decent wheels. Acquired on the back of the success of his 1975 album ‘Born to Run’, Bruce’s 1960 Chevrolet Corvette was about as iconically American as he was, and was probably quite the talking point down the Thunder Road Wax’n’Splash.

BILL WYMAN
CITROEN SM
It looks more suited to a Jetson than a rock star, but two Rolling Stones have purchased Citroen SMs. Although he doesn’t drive, drummer Charlie Watts had one added to his collection and former bass player Bill Wyman (pictured) loves its retro-futurist feel.

RUN-DMC
CADILLAC ELDORADO
Rides come no more pimped than Run-DMC’s snow white Caddy, pictured here on Hollis Avenue, New York City’s hip-hop central. No parking problems around there – there’s a street nearby named Run-DMC JMJ Way in their honour.

PAUL WELLER
BMW MINI COOPER
Sharp, stylish, quintessentially British – Weller was made to design Minis, and this candy-stripe beauty is the one-off special model he came up with in 2010 for Nordoff Robbins and War Child.

JANIS JOPLIN
PORSCHE 365
Joplin’s psychedelic Porsche was stolen just a year after her roadie Dave Roberts painted it to resemble a pile of Jimi Hendrix’s vomit. The robber sprayed it grey to avoid detection, but its since been recovered, restored to its eye-scorching glory and valued at $400,000.
