2015 has been a non-stop torrent of highlights for Catfish and the Bottlemen. A headline-grabbing set on Glastonbury’s Other Stage earlier this summer set the tone for what’s been a massive few months. On Saturday (August 29) they performed on the NME/Radio 1 Stage at Reading Festival.
Unsurprisingly the tent was almost at capacity for their slot early in the evening.

While he wasn’t short of energy frontman Van McCann was surprisingly quiet throughout the set, limiting his usual stage chat to repeated “thank yous” and an admission that it was their “first gig back so they might be a bit rusty”.

Despite this, the crowd were hugely receptive all the way through.

Next up for the band is a huge US tour followed by their biggest ever UK shows in October and November.
