A teaser video showing Keanu Reeves in training for the new John Wick 2 film have been released online, it has been revealed (March 4)
Reeves has been reportedly filming John Wick 2 which is due for release on 2 October 2017. Common has been cast as the main villain opposite Keanu Reeves in the sequel, which started shooting in October 2015.
Ian McShane is also reprising his role from the original film, which starred Reeves as a former hitman who comes out of retirement after an obnoxious rich kid (Alfie Allen) kills the beagle puppy left to him by his late wife.
According to Uproxx, the new video footage shows Reeves practising with Taran Tactical Innovations, a Simi Valley, California-based gun manufacturer, performing target practice with multiple weaponry.

The original film was co-directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, but Stahelski is directing the sequel by himself. Derek Kolstad, who wrote the original’s screenplay, has also written the follow-up.
Specific plot details are being kept under wraps, but Common is said to be playing the head of security for a female crime lord who presumably comes into conflict with Reeves’ character. The rapper/actor has previously appeared in films including Selma, Date Night and Now You See Me, and will be seen alongside Will Smith and Jared Leto in this year’s Suicide Squad movie.
