Singer Sia performed a live rendition of track ‘Bird Set Free’ last night (March 14) during a special SXSW broadcast on ‘The Jimmy Kimmel’ show.

The new track is taken from her new album ‘This Is Acting’, which consists entirely of songs Sia wrote for other artists before deciding to keep them for herself. Kanye West collaboration ‘Reaper’ also appears on the album. ‘This Is Acting’ is the follow-up to Sia’s 2014 album ‘1000 Forms Of Fear’, which featured the hit singles ‘Elastic Heart’ and ‘Chandelier’.

According to Consequence of Sound, the singer was performing at the Samsung Galaxy Life Fest at South by Southwest, when a live broadcast of her performing the track was shown on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night chat show last night. You can watch it in the player below.

Flow Festival takes place in a disused power station in the heart of Helsinki between August 12-14. Sia heads up a bill which also includes M83, Chvrches, Jamie xx, Stormzy, Four Tet and more. Tickets are available now.

Sia will also headline Way Out West, which takes place on the same weekend (August 11-13) in Gothenburg. Joining her on the line-up of the Swedish event will be Chvrches, Jamie xx, Stormzy, M83 and Anna Von Hausswolff.
