50 Cent and Tory Lanez have recently mocked journalist Meghann Cuniff over a bet related to A$AP Rocky’s trial.
On February 19, A$AP Rocky was found not guilty on all counts by an LA jury after being accused of firing a gun at his former friend A$AP Relli in the Hollywood area in 2021. The rapper faced up to 24 years in prison if he was found guitly.
Before the trial’s verdict, 50 Cent was confident that Rocky would beat the case, betting $500,000 that he’d be found not guilty. Journalist Meghann Cuniff – known for her coverage of high-profile musical lawsuits, including Tory Lanez’s trial for shooting Megan Thee Stallion – accepted the bet.
When the news broke that Rocky was acquitted, 50 took to Instagram to remind Cuniff of their wager, writing: “I’m a need my money by Monday.”
Tory Lanez – who was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion and is currently serving his 10-year sentence – chimed in, leaving a comment calling Cuniff a “GOOF BITCH [sic].”
50 reshared their responses with the caption: “Yeah, she better go find my bread. I’M LIKE, ‘HO IS YOU COO!'”
Cuniff hasn’t replied to Lanez and 50’s comments since A$AP Rocky was found not guilty.
Following the judgment, Rocky thanked the jury for “saving my life” and added that they had “made the right decision”. His partner Rihanna also gave a brief statement on her Instagram Stories, writing: “The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by his mercy! 🙏🏿”
In other news, Megan Thee Stallion has successfully obtained a restraining order against Lanez, who claimed he was harassing her from prison through third-party surrogates – including YouTuber Milagro Gramz, who she is suing for “cyberstalking, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and invasion of privacy”.
50 Cent, meanwhile, is set to perform at this year’s Parklife festival as well as co-headline a concert at London’s Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium alongside Davido and Mary J. Blige this summer.
