K-pop boyband RIIZE are gearing up to release their first full-length album this May, SM Entetainment has confirmed.
On March 19, SM Entertainment confirmed reports that RIIZE would be releasing music new music soon. “RIIZE is currently preparing for the release of their first full-length album in May. Please look forward to it,” SM Entertainment said in a statement to Ilgan Sports, as translated by Soompi.
The record will mark the band’s first new music release in nearly a year, following their June 2024 mini-album, ‘RIIZING’. That projed was led by the title track ‘Boom Boom Bass’, also included the singles ‘Siren’, ‘Talk Saxy’, ‘Love 119’ and ‘Impossible’.
RIIZE are also set to participate in the SMTOWN Live 2025 international tour, in celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary. The band will be performing alongside labelmates aespa, SHINee’s Minho and Key, Hearts2Hearts and more at the tour’s stops in Mexico City, Tokyo, Los Angeles and London this summer.
The upcoming RIIZE album will also be their first release since founding member Seunghan left the group in October last year. His departure occurred only two days after Seunghan and SM Entertainment faced backlash after the latter announced his return to RIIZE following a year-long hiatus.
Shortly after, a number of K-pop retailers across the globe halted restocks of RIIZE merchandise “out of respect for our customers, fans, and the artist”. Although the label did not heed fans’ requests to add Seunghan back to the band, they announced he would debut as a soloist sometime this year.
