Madonna opened up about losing her custody battle with Guy Ritchie over her son Rocco, while on stage in New Zealand.
The saga began in December of 2015 when 15 year old Rocco went to London to live with the singer’s ex-husband. However despite her pleas for him to return to America and a court order demanding the same thing, Rocco has remained in London.
Speaking on stage in New Zealand on Friday 4 April, she said: “It’s true, there’s no love stronger than a mother for her son.
“If I talk about him too much I will cry”, she added before dedicating her song ‘La Vie En Rose’.
She finished by saying: “I hope he hears this and knows how much I miss him.”
Following a court hearing in the UK this week, Justice MacDonald said: “An amicable negotiated resolution is definitely the way forward and in Rocco’s best interests.
“Unfortunately, Rocco will have to experience additional emotional upset.”
Some reports have claimed that Madonna has accepted her loss in the custody battle, but still wants to remain a parental influence on her son Rocco to ensure that he is safe and supported financially.
