Fazer, Dappy, and Tulisa returned to music as a unit in 2022, 11 years since they first disbanded to pursue solo careers.
Now, the Camden trio have released the sombre electro-pop-tinged track ‘February’ – showcasing their signature back-and-forth story-telling as each member shares their perspective of being in a toxic relationship.
The track was co-written by the trio and was produced by Fazer. In a statement, the band agreed that ‘February’ features “production that sounds both current and classic N-Dubz.”
‘February’ follows up the trio’s comeback ‘Charmer’, which was released last year in tandem with the announcement of their UK reunion tour. They then went on to release ‘Tour Bus Freestyle’ whilst on the road.
Since their split in 2011, Dappy and Tulisa went on successful pop stars, with respective seminal tracks like ‘Good Intentions’ and ‘Young’ propelling them up the charts. Fazer became a platinum-selling producer, even working with K-pop group BTS on 2016’s ‘Lost’.
N-Dubz earned early success with their three albums, 2008’s ‘Uncle B’, 2009’s ‘Against all Odds’ and 2010’s ‘Love.Live.Life’. They also won four MOBO awards, including Best Newcomer in 2007, and Best Album and Best Act in 2009.
In other news, Tulisa confirmed last year that N-Dubz had been working on their first album in 10 years, saying: “We just spent five weeks here finishing recording the new N-Dubz album. T’was an experience, what a trip! Good times!”
Meanwhile, the trio will go back on tour this summer, including a huge gig at London’s Gunnersbury Park alongside Tion Wayne and Venbee.
