Justin Timberlake’s new video for ‘Supplies’ addresses Harvey Weinstein and Donald Trump.
The video, which was directed by Kendrick Lamar collaborator Dave Meyers, follows the singer as he watches footage of anti-Trump protests and Harvey Weinstein, before stepping outside to save Baby Driver actress Eiza González Reyna from a group of cult-like men.
Pharrell shows up later, unsurprisingly, as he’s worked closely with Timberlake on his upcoming album, ‘Man of the Woods’.
The album, due for release on 2 February, includes production from the Neptunes (Pharrell and Chad Hugo), and marks the first time Timberlake and Pharrell have worked together since Justin’s 2002 debut ‘Justified‘.
The 16-year break in the pair’s collaboration was recently revealed to be a result of Clipse’s troubles with Jive Records. Clipse – the duo Pusha T and Malice – were signed to the Neptunes’ Star Trak Entertainment label, but restructuring in 2004 left them on Jive records. Clipse sued Jive to get out of their contract to join Star Trak, now at Interscope.
