Earlier this week, Sabrina Carpenter covered Olivia Newton-John‘s ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’ while dressed as Sandy from Grease, complete with Carpenter curls in her hair, a black leather jacket and Sandy’s iconic catsuit, during a stop on her ‘Short ‘N’ Sweet’ US tour.
Elsewhere, Heidi Klum once again delivered theatrics during the 23rd instalment of her iconic Halloween parties. This time, Klum and her husband, German guitarist Tom Kaulitz, dressed as E.T. The New York Times interviewed Klum about putting the costume together – “They have no genitals,” Ms. Klum said of the aliens. “I like the whole idea of, like, we’re all the same.”
She wasn’t the only one to take inspiration from the Steven Spielberg classic, with Janelle Monae also opting for an E.T. costume during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Hudson, meanwhile, paid homage to the late Whitney Houston through her costume.
Lizzo debuted a handful of costumes this year, including a ‘Face Card’ and Edward ‘SZAhands’ – a mashup between the classic film and the R&B singer. Notably, though, she took the occasion to once again address Ozempic allegations, by dressing as a glam version of the diet-suppressing drug.
Christina Aguilera kept it creepy as a vampire, complete with fake blood, while Chloe Bailey dressed up as Jessica Rabbit. Paris Hilton paid homage to Britney Spears, donning a costume inspired by the pop star’s ‘…Baby One More Time’ music video.
There were plenty of film references, with Sophie Turner going as Carrie-Anne Moss’s character Trinity from the iconic 1999 sci-fi film The Matrix, and Ice Spice as Leeloo Dallas from the sci-fi action film The Fifth Element. Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco also went as Alice in Wonderland characters Alice and the Mad Hatter, while Gwen Stefani dressed as Disney princess Snow White.
Both Halle Bailey and Tyla paid homage to Halle Berry through their costumes, while Berry herself opted to dress as a witch.
Elsewhere, Ethel Cain dressed as a nurse from the horror franchise Silent Hill, ahead of the release of her new single ‘Punish’ today (November 1), and Alfie Templeman went as a bottle of Buckfast Tonic wine.

Green Day‘s Tre Cool channelled his inner grandma by dressing up as the grandma from Little Red Riding Hood while his son dressed as the wolf and his wife as the titular character from the fairytale. They also took the time to dress as the late Elvis Presley and Pricilla Presley.
Blink-182‘s Travis Barker dressed up as Gomez Addams while his wife Kourtney Kardashian dressed as Morticia Addams from The Adams Family.

Elsewhere, Drain played a spooktacular show and showed variety with their costumes as they chose to be an eclectic mix of Scooby-Doo, Darth Vader, a luchador and a clown. At their Halloween show in Phoenix, Arizona, the Dublin band Inhaler traded in their usual rock and roll garb for lab coats and dressed as mad doctors. In an inspired gender-switch idea, comedian Eric Andre channeled his inner Sade.
“In space, no one can hear you scream…
…for more snacks.” 👽🐶👽
