David Byrne paid homage to David Bowie and Madonna at the weekend with New York public choir.
The Talking Heads frontman performed ‘Heroes’ for Bowie’s birth and death anniversaries, at the Public Theatre in New York City on Saturday (January 13) with Toronto-based group Choir! Choir! Choir!.
The show was led by choir founders Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman, who perform by open participation, allowing anyone to join in.
Byrne, who inducted Bowie into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996, also performed ‘Borderline’ – a nod to Madonna, who accepted the induction on Bowie’s behalf.
