Beyonce has spoken about the pressures of perfectionism and about her business ventures in a new interview, saying: “the world will see you the way you see you, and treat you the way you treat yourself.”
Beyonce’s sixth album is expected this year, with new single ‘Formation’ launched around her Super Bowl half-time show, alongside North American and European tours including UK dates in June and July. Fans have recently been speculating that a new album might be dropped unannounced, like the single.
In an interview about her Ivy Park clothing line with Elle Magazine, Beyonce said of running the company:
“To me, power is making things happen without asking for permission. It’s affecting the way people perceive themselves and the world around them. It’s making people stand up with pride.”
She also spoke about the pressure that comes from expectations of perfect, saying:
“It’s really about changing the conversation. It’s not about perfection. It’s about purpose. We have to care about our bodies and what we put in them.”
“Women have to take the time to focus on our mental health—take time for self, for the spiritual, without feeling guilty or selfish. The world will see you the way you see you, and treat you the way you treat yourself.”

Jillian Mercado, a blogger and model, wears T-shirts, hats and sweaters in the shoot alongside two other models.
Mercado announced the news online, writing: “OK LADIES now let’s get in FORMATION!” she wrote on Instagram. “So BEYond excited to finally announce that I’m on the official @beyonce website!!!”
