“I am deeply grateful for your ongoing support. As we prepare to face challenges in the next decade, I am excited to announce the development of Final Fantasy 14,” said game director Naoki Yoshida in an accompanying video. He went on say that the game had been “specifically tailored” for mobile. “Despite these adjustments, Lightspeed Studios is working with tremendous enthusiasm and dedication to faithfully recreate the story, duties, battle content and other aspects of the original game,” he continued.
In the main game, players can choose from 22 different roles but the mobile version will launch with just nine, according to a dedicated website.
