Wolf Alice’s brilliant new album ‘Blue Weekend’ has finally arrived, and we’ve given it the five-star treatment here at NME. “A stone-cold masterpiece full of confidence and magic”, we’ve gone with triumphant single ‘How Can I Make It OK?’ for this week’s NME Radio A List.
Also new to NME Radio this week we’ve got a laidback cut from Easy Life’s new album, the latest Billie Eilish single ‘Lost Cause’, plus CHVRCHES’ dreamy collaboration with Robert Smith. There’s also a tune from Black Midi’s stunning second album ‘Cavalcade’, breezy funk goodness thanks to Jungle, and a powerful offering from Greentea Peng.
Here are all this week’s additions to the NME 1 & 2 playlists:
On the A List

Wolf Alice
‘How Can I Make It OK?’
Wolf Alice are unstoppable right now. ‘How Can I Make It OK?’, a single from their five-star album ‘Blue Weekend’, is a tour-de-force that showcases the London rockers at their most dynamic: a synth-led ode that explodes into a potent dance-ready stomper. It’s testament to their versatility – or as NME’s Rhian Daly put it, the key to an album that cements “their place at the peak of British music”. – JX Soo

Easy Life
‘Homesickness’
On ‘Homesickness’ Leicester’s favourites wistfully yearn for how relationships used to be over gentle synth arpeggios and pulsing grooves. The nostalgia laced cut is cheeky soundtrack to sentimental thoughts, with vocalist Murray Matravers sighing: “Switch for me like Nintendo / And here I’ve done it again though / The usual crescendo / And whilst I’ve got your attention / For my basic animal instinct / Everything is stupid.” – JXS
