Triple J have been hammering new band Tiny Little Houses back in their native Australia, and today we’re premiering a brilliantly melodic track by the band called ‘Milo Tin’.
They’ve been putting out tunes for less than a year now, and on this one they sound mightily accomplished. It recalls the fleeting genius of The Sleepy Jackson at their most acid-flecked and beatific, with singer Caleb Karvountzis’s sounding off-kilter and narky as he laments the loss of summer and the risk of becoming a “cultural cringe”. It’s a neat aside to the more upbeat, wobbly drums and reverb-drenched guitars.
‘Milo Tin’ is out March 14 via Ivy League – also home to Cloud Control, Alpine and The Vines.
