Rock Werchter has one of those irritatingly good lineups that’ll make you curse all of the UK’s offerings. The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Queens Of The Stone Age, Gorillaz, Nick Cave and more were all the big names to grace the Belgium festival this year and if that selection of headliners doesn’t make your eyes bulge out your head, we’re a bit worried about you. One of the lucky fans, VO5 Ambassador Tia Ward, headed to event and had a complete blast, tbh.
Zero effort required.
1Bag it up
Our Tia landed herself at one of Europe’s biggest festivals, Rock Werchter, in rural Belgium last weekend.
That’s a handy little bag to carry your phone, tickets and, er, anything else you want to carry around with you.

2Cooling off
The weather was scorching – much like here – so Tia’s keeping cool with a ice lolly. If you’re keeping long hair this festival season, take a page from Tia’s book and give it a little chop why don’t you? You’ll be as cool as an ice lolly, apparently.

3Monkeying Around
Here he is, Mr Alex Turner and his mates, the Arctic Monkeys. They headlined the festival for the second time this year – after first performing in 2014. Now, he’s got a goatee and a piano, but he’s still here to party.

4Fan favourites
The Killers, Gorillaz, Depeche Mode and Arctic Monkeys all headlined this year’s festival, though we suspect she’ll have needed bigger platforms and binoculars to see from all the way back there.

5Snap happy
Running into your mates at a festival is great until you realise you’ve been trying to get a good Boomerang shot for Instagram for 20 minutes and missed the start of your favourite band. No such problem when Tia met up with fellow VO5 Ambassador Gwilym Pugh for a quick photo opportunity, the bloody pros.

6The Man
The Killers have been in Greatest Hits mode for a while now, but their set at Rock Werchter pushed them a little bit closer to being considered one of our all time great bands. They play literally every one of their hits you could ever want, all while wearing ludicrous suits like this. Legends.

7Crowd pleaser
Here’s Tia, having a blast during rising pop sensation Anne-Marie’s mid-afternoon set. The stage is the other way, but we’ll let it slide.

8Rising stars
Anne-Marie’s current single ‘2002’, which she worked on with Ed Sheeran is currently flying high in the charts. No wonder, it’s a bloody great summer bop. Our Tia was drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

9“Come on then!”
After a 6 year wait, Gorillaz dropped their second album in less than a year in June, ‘The Now Now’. The Belgium faithful were treated to a smattering of new songs from it and old favourites like ‘Clint Eastwood’ and ‘DARE’.

10Search party
Look how dry that grass is, seriously. No, Tia! We don’t know where the last patch of green is either!

11Rock on
Great bands? Check. Scorching weather? Yep. See you all there with Tia next year? You betcha.
