Noel Gallagher Waging War Against Skateboarders Is The Best Thing On The Internet Today

By Matt Wilkinson|

Has there ever been a middle-aged man to embrace Instagram quite as brilliantly as Noel Gallagher? Iggy Pop, with his pet bird (@BiggyPop) perhaps – although technically Ig’s an OAP now, so maybe that’s a different league altogether.

For a guy who’s famously been wholeheartedly against the whole “technology thing” all his celebrity life, Noel’s account (@themightyi) is somewhat heartening.

There’s his continuous infatuation with crisps and Guinness:

Oh go on then..one for my mammy and my granny!

There are the weird/funny little drawings he posts up about life stuff:

There was the time he saw and photographed a levitating guru in Rome:

This guy in the streets of Rome today! “Sitting on a cornflake..waiting for the van to come..”

And the time he paid tribute to NYC by posting up an oil painting of Kramer from Seinfeld (good move, Noel):

NYC tonight..Giddy’up!

But today, people, Noel’s trumped it all – by waging war on skateboarders. It all stemmed from an interview where Noel laid into skaters, saying it’s a sport “for fucking little idiots” among other expletives.

Pro-skaters including Alex Olson got a bit pissed off about that:

And now, Noel’s hit back by trolling the fuck out of everybody who’s ever set foot on one of the things.

Behold, Noel Gallagher: Instagram Boss…

Of course, proving Noel’s viewpoint isn’t particularly new or surprising, here’s Oasis’ 1994 video for ‘Live Forever’, featuring Guigsy looking disparagingly at rollerskaters trying to outdo his lone bass playing on a stoop in NYC:

Still no word on whether Liam can kickflip or not.
