Record Store Day 2018 is only a few days away (Saturday 21st April), and over 200 stores across the UK are gearing up for what could be their biggest day of the year. With a record number of venues taking part, and tons of brilliant exclusive releases from the likes of The National and Courtney Barnett, this year’s annual event is set to be the best yet.
With so many excellent events to go to, you’re truly spoilt for choice. Here are some of the best from across the UK.
London
Rough Trade West
Where: Draywalk, 91 Brick Lane, London, E1 6QL
Doors open at? 8am
Why? Rough Trade are renowned for smashing it every single RSD. This year their lineup include soulful crooner Isaac Gracie, Haley and the blistering Goat Girl.

Why? In their own words: “It’s the craziest day of the year here on Berwick Street – hundreds of exclusive vinyl releases for you buy; new friends to make in the queue; free goodies; exhausted staff members!” Sounds cracking.

Why? Free Jägermeister cocktails, live DJ sets and a secret vinyl auction for charity – basically it’s going to be top fun.

Truck Store

Why? Truck always pull it out the bag for Record Store Day, and this year is no exception. Making it Record Store Weekend – there’ll be live DJs on Saturday, and brilliant live music from Scott Matthews on Sunday. Get there early – as there’s usually a long queue (but they’ll be a “fiendishly fun” quiz to keep you entertained whilst you wait!)
