However, the Australian rapper said the charges against Lanez "don’t warrant 5plus [years] in prison"

The Australian-born rapper had previously announced her return to music last August
Writing on Twitter, the rapper also said she is "aiming to drop a [new] project" in 2023
She said last summer that she'd be taking "a few years" away to focus on other projects
